Boulderado Hotel registers, 1909-1912. 1909-1912.

The volumes are bound in red leather, with the words "HOTEL BOULDERADO" stamped in gold on the front cover. These eight guest registers cover the nearly four years from the Boulderado's first day of business on January 1, 1909 through October 3, 1912. August 4 through 31, 1911, is the only period during this span for which registration information is missing. Inside the front and back covers, of all except three volumes, are advertisements for sixteen Boulder businesses. The businesses advertised are: National State Bank, Hickox & Fields, The Switzerland Trail of America, Elliott & Anders Beauty Parlor, Miss Shauck Fine Millinery, Fred A. Fair General Engineering, Maupin Brothers Upholstery and Repairing, Imperial Tea & Coffee Company, Clover Leaf Creamery, The Colorado Cement Tile Co., Snow Portrait Photographer, J. G. Trezise, W. L. Cox & Company Machine Shop and Garage, Boulder-Nederland Auto Line, Boulder Laundry and Towel Company, and Chas. F. Fawcett Florist.

The Boulderado Hotel opened with a New Year's Eve Ball in 1908-1909, and was Boulder's first luxury hotel. This five-story hotel located at 2115 13th Street was the brainchild of three prominent men, Fred Moys, Jonas Bergheim and Walter Nichols, who urged all Boulderites to subscribe to a $100,000 fund drive in 1906.
